The working principle of the AVR is to regulate the excitatory current in the exciter. If the generator output voltage is below the nominal generator voltage, the AVR will increase the excitatory current in the exciter. And vice versa, if the generator output voltage exceeds the generator nominal voltage, the AVR will reduce the excitatory current in the exciter. Thus, if there is a change in the generator output voltage, the AVR will be able to stabilize it automatically because it is equipped with equipment such as a tool used to limit the minimum or maximum amplifier which works automatically.
